Advisory Retainer
Get a regular outside perspective on plant decisions, performance and readiness.
When this helps
Leaders often need a sounding board between major projects: a review of a growing outage scope, help interpreting performance trends, or a second look at an improvement plan. A retainer supports the people who run the plant while keeping decisions with them.
What the retainer can cover
- Regular discussions about decisions, obstacles and priorities.
- Review of maintenance measures and trends against the plant’s own baseline.
- Feedback on outage, improvement or readiness plans.
- Questions between meetings and preparation for upcoming reviews.
How it works
The written scope identifies the people and sites covered, the meeting cadence, communication arrangements, term and the materials to be reviewed. A retainer can follow an assessment or stand alone.
What you receive
Depending on the agreed scope, the work may produce comments on plans, discussion of performance trends and documented next actions for the plant team.
Scope and boundaries
This is advisory support. Plant leaders retain responsibility for decisions and execution. The retainer is not an emergency response service, a substitute for the plant’s engineering authority or department management.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from a consulting project?

Who can use the retainer?
The supported leaders and any additional participants are identified in the written scope.
